By the way, your Leo is in the 8th house (which rules: other people's money, inheritance, the stock market, sex and death) LOL! And you have Sun in Virgo, Moon in Gemini and Sagittarius rising (I have sun in Gemini, Moon in Pisces and Virgo rising) So we do have something in common!Mystery Ranchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04050933804542338165noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5793663588019204999.post-31700245370888816032008-08-01T11:56:00.000-07:002008-08-01T11:56:00.000-07:00I was just about to leave you a comment here when ...I was just about to leave you a comment here when our power went out...too many electrical things going at one time. At least it was something I could fix. Meyer lemons are supposed to be sweeter than regular lemons. So I have heard. I agree, lemon curd is wonderful stuff. Here in Lancaster, we grow everything but citrus. We even grow magnolias....it is like the south is mocking us. Our summers are humid and sweltering, and our winters aren't mild enough, but I would love to try Meyer lemons just once in my lifetime.
I hear you about meatloaf. I found that using a good combination of 80 percent beef with lean lamb gives you a really good meatloaf. And a can of French Onion Soup helps, too. I also cook up a box of beef stuffing and use a cup of that and one egg. And fresh herbs are so heavenly. I love tarragon. I love sage and rosemary. Thyme is also possibly my favorite. Basil is versatile and fresh oregano is sublime.
I forgo the ketchup and make a brown gravy with mushrooms and grilled onions...(shhh. I fry 'em up in bacon drippings.....I know, it's so evil to do that. But it makes a tasty brown gravy, that's fer sure!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
